The Wallet Balance section helps you track exactly how much of your enterprise funds are usable, pending, or frozen. Every wallet tier (Root, Deposit, and Cold) displays a real-time breakdown across four key metrics, giving you complete visibility over your on-chain asset status and compliance state.
Balance Metric Summary
In each wallet type (Root, Deposit, Cold), the dashboard panel breaks down the ledger into four clear categorised values:
Label | Description |
|---|---|
Total | The gross aggregate volume of all tokens currently held within the wallet container. |
Pending | Funds received but not yet available for use (e.g., pending KYT and Name Screening). |
Available | Fully cleared, unrestricted funds ready for immediate deployment. |
Frozen | Locked funds restricted from movement due to compliance holds or administrative actions. |
🔍 Detailed Metric Definitions
1. Total Balance
This represents the absolute sum of all asset allocations currently sitting inside the wallet architecture.
The Equation:
Total = Available + Pending + FrozenPractical Example: If your wallet contains 0.02 Available, 0.005 Pending, and 0.005 Frozen balances, your dashboard will display a Total value of 0.03.
2. Pending Balance
This metric tracks incoming deposits that are under review and cannot be spent yet.
Why it happens: Inbound transfers are typically held temporarily while awaiting the completion of mandatory compliance checks, such as Know Your Transaction (KYT) and Name Screening protocols.
Resolution: Once compliance criteria pass successfully, pending balances automatically migrate into the Available balance pool.
3. Available Balance
This is your active, fluid operational balance. These funds are fully cleared, completely unrestricted, and can be immediately utilized to:
Execute outbound withdrawals to external blockchain addresses.
Trigger directional sweeps to alternative secure ecosystem wallets.
Process programmatic transactions via direct API integrations or manually through the web application UI.
⚠️ Note: Available balances strictly exclude any amounts currently locked under review (Pending) or restricted by security policy (Frozen).
4. Frozen Balance
These are funds that have been manually or automatically restricted from system use to mitigate active security or compliance risks.
Common triggers include:
Failed Name Screening: Triggered automatically via integrated risk intelligence data feeds (e.g., LSEG).
Administrative Interventions: The wallet, specific user profile, or your entire enterprise node has been manually suspended by the internal compliance team.
Risk Detection: The system flags anomalous or high-risk transaction behavior during a deposit or withdrawal event.
🔒 Security Rule: Frozen funds are completely locked on-chain and cannot be moved, swept, or withdrawn under any circumstances until the restriction is formally lifted.
Pro-Tips for Wallet Management
Visibility Options: Even if a specific wallet container becomes frozen, you can still view its Total and Pending balance ledger values. However, you will not be allowed to interact with or transfer those funds.
Initialization vs. Availability: A wallet can be completely initialized on the blockchain network but still show a
0Available balance if the arriving funds are currently trapped under pending reviews or frozen holds.Resolving Holds: If you notice an unexpected frozen amount populating your dashboard, check your registered corporate inbox for compliance notifications, or contact our operations team at compliance@gambit.com.my.
