Transaction Approval

The Transaction Approval page is where Approvers review and act on transactions that have been initiated by an Initiator. Depending on your enterprise's approval rules, a transaction may require one or more Approvers to sign off before it is executed.

This is a key part of Gambit Custody's maker-checker control — ensuring no single person can initiate and approve their own transaction.

How to Approve or Reject a Transaction

  1. Log in to the Enterprise Portal.

  2. From the left-hand sidebar, locate the TRANSACTIONS section and click Transaction Approval.

  3. Review the list of pending transactions.

  4. Click on a transaction row to view its full details.

  5. After reviewing, click Approve or Reject in the Action column.

⚠️ Important: Review all transaction details carefully before approving — including the destination address and amount. Approved transactions that meet the quorum requirement will proceed to execution and cannot be reversed.

Filtering & Exporting

  • Use the Filters button to narrow the list by date, status, or wallet.

  • Click the yellow Export button to download the approval records for audit or reporting purposes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why can't I see the Approve button? You may not be assigned the Approver role for that wallet. Contact your Root Admin or Super Admin to confirm your wallet access role.

Q: How many approvals does a transaction need? This depends on your enterprise's Approval Rule configuration. The Approvers column will show you how many approvals have been received and how many are still required.

Q: Can the Initiator approve their own transaction? No. The Initiator and Approver must be different users. This is enforced by the system.
